    Patrick from FL Asked

Hello, I'm planning a trip for my Girlfriend's Daughter's second birthday. We're planing it for June, will a trip to the MK be difficult with a 2 year old that time of year?

    Hi Patrick,

Our son first went to WDW when he had just turned two! While there were challenges visiting with a small child (frequent potty breaks, mid-day naps, earlier bed times, etc.), seeing the magic of Disney through a young child's eyes really makes it all worth it. I wouldn't trade that first visit when our son was young for anything!

There are additional challenges with visiting in June., Since you are from Florida, you're fully aware of the heat and humidity. Tour in the mornings and evenings when it's cooler taking your  mid-day break when the sun is hottest for naps and/or swimming at the resort pool. Use the indoor shows and restaurants for breaks from the heat while you tour the Magic Kingdom. Stay hydrated!

In June, crowd levels start to pick up in WDW due to schools beginning to let out around the country for summer vacation. The earlier in June to beat the crowds, the better!

The Magic Kingdom is a wonderful park to tour with a two-year old. There is so much that a young child can experience from a train ride to flying with Dumbo!

Don't forget to celebrate the birthday with a visit with the Disney princesses at the Town Square Theater or consider booking a character meal at Cinderella's Royal Table!
