Hi, I'm planning a trip to DW 1st time for Oct 28-Nov 3 08, and i hope i have eveything i want everything is just so overwhelming. I am confused with the resort to stay in. Between CBR/CSR. We have 2 girls 7&5. What one do people prefer. Thanks, Karen

For your first WDW stay, I would suggest the Caribbean Beach Resort.

    Why not Coronado Springs Resort?

This resort is beautiful, has a great food court and a nice pool. However it's considerable size along with the convention facilities would not be my choice for first time visitors.

Due to the convention center, many business people stay at this resort. For me, seeing people rush to meetings in their business attire seemed to remind me of the "real" world and distract my attention from the magical world of Disney. When I'm on vacation, I want to be immersed in it! The resort also has a nightclub catering to guests without children. I did enjoy my stay at Coronado Springs but I did not find it the most suitable for first time visitors to WDW.

So I recommend the Caribbean Beach Resort.

The main pool is currently undergoing a major renovation. It should make its new debut in the early Fall. It is anticipated to offer a wonderful pirate theme with fun slides. Scattered throughout the resort, your family will also find quiet pools. The villages offer nice accommodations and quaint outdoor courtyards. This resort is large as well and the Customs House where guests Check In is away from the food court and other amenities.

My son enjoys the kid meals that are served in sand pails with an attached shovel. This unexpected toy can be enjoyed at the white, sandy beach where playgrounds seem to spring up from the sand. You'll also find some cozy hammocks here and there.

We stayed in the Jamaica village which is still a distance from the food court at Old Port Royale but it's a pleasant stroll over two bridges and a lovely island. For families that would like their rooms closer to the pool and food court, you may want to book a preferred room at a slightly higher room rate.

Oh, Caribbean Beach also offers the largest rooms of the resorts in the WDW moderate category!
