Hi! I'm planning a trip to Disney World with my toddler (who will be 17 months at the time of trip). What are some toddler-friendly things to do? Any advice? Thanks!

    Hi Danielle,

The wonder in the eyes of little ones as they experience Walt Disney World is truly magical!

There is lots for toddlers to do at each theme park. At Magic Kingdom, you can concentrate on Fantasyland, where you can enjoy gentle rides such as it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight, which are visually appealing to toddlers. If your child is familiar with Disney Junior, head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios to see Disney Junior - Live on Stage!, in which children get to dance and sing at a show featuring Disney Junior friends. If your little one enjoys animals, then a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom will be enjoyed. A ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris will allow your little one to see animals such as giraffes and lions. As a toddler, my daughter also enjoyed riding the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch, where she loved to pet animals at Affection Section. At Epcot, your little one may enjoy the colorful attraction Journey into Imagination with Figment, or the fun of seeing a huge animated character at Turtle Talk with Crush. In all of the theme parks, do take advantage of the Baby Care Centers. These calming centers have great places to change and feed your little one, and are a nice place to take a break from the busyness of the theme park.

As for advice, I did try to maintain as normal a schedule as possible for my daughter when she was a toddler. I would take her back to the resort each day for a nap. This made her much less cranky, and thus, made the rest of the traveling party happy! I also brought small toys and snacks that I knew she liked wherever we went at Walt Disney World. This way, if she got fussy or hungry, I knew that I had something that would make her happy quickly.

I would love to help you plan more Danielle; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back with any further questions!
