Hi im planning a trip to the animal kingdom next year in march, this is my first family vacation and i have no idea what im doing, anyone have any pointers??

    Hi Amanda,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great theme park! There are so many wonderful animals to see there, and with the addition of Pandora - The World of Avatar, this park has become even more amazing. Let me offer you some thoughts on planning your day there.

You still have plenty of time to plan, so I suggest that you take a look at the Walt Disney World planning video. This includes information on all of the theme parks, but you can focus on Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I find that a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom is not complete without a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris, on which you see amazing animals from a safari vehicle. I also enjoy the thrill of a ride on Expedition Everest. Finally, my family's favorite show, perhaps in all of Walt Disney World, is The Festival of the Lion King. The acrobatics, costumes, and singing in this show are amazing.

As I mentioned, you will want to check out Pandora - World of Avatar. Avatar Flight of Passage is a new attraction there that lets you experience the feeling of flying on a banshee! This is a very popular ride, and I suggest that you use a Disney FastPass+ selection to experience this attraction.

I would love to help you plan more Amanda; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please write back if you have any further questions!
