I’m planning on taking my two months old baby to Disney in May and was wondering if you had any tips? Also is it normal to bring a baby so small or will I be the only one?

    Hi Natalie,

First of all, let me put your mind at ease: you most certainly WON’T be the only Momma at Walt Disney World Resort with an itty bitty baby with you and, yes, it’s perfectly “normal” to travel with a baby that little! My little guy’s first visit was when he was almost six months old and he was far from the only, or the smallest, baby that we saw that week.

My first tip would be to check out the Baby Care Centers located in Each Theme Park. There, you’ll not only find extra large changing tables (useful for squirmy babies) but also quiet rooms for your to nurse or feed your little one, as well as any other essentials, such as diapers, that you may have forgotten at home.

If you’re used to “wearing” your baby, I highly recommend sticking that method rather than a stroller. I found it so much easier to walk around and explore when I was carrying my son, rather than trying to navigate through crowds with a stroller. I also highly recommend that you leave the Theme Parks in the middle of the day in order to ensure that your little one gets at least one solid nap in air conditioned comfort. Plus, that will also give you a break from the midday heat too!

Finally, I highly recommend that you purchase a Memory Maker package so that you can download all of your Disney PhotoPass pictures. I didn't get one for my son's first trip and I've regretted it ever since.

For more tips, please check out the Planning for Preschoolers & Little Ones page. And please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
