I'm planning a short weekend trip for me and my 15 year old daughter. It will be our fist time to Epcot & HS. Just wondering what are the must see attractions and highlights for these parks? Are individual day tickets the best economical option?

    Greetings Janelle!
A mom and daughter trip sounds like a blast. The most economical approach would be to buy a 2-day ticket via the Walt Disney World website ticket page. Since you are focused on two parks that have incredible nighttime shows I think you are better off avoiding a park hopper this time.

If you are staying on-site, I would suggest checking to see if Extra Magic Hours are offered at either of these parks during your stay. You will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days before your arrival.  If you are not staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel I recommend avoiding parks with Extra Magic Hours if at all possible.  Off-site Guests can make their FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance.

While this list is not inclusive, it includes my personal favorite attractions at each park:

Epcot: Spaceship Earth, Soarin', Test Track, Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, A leisurely stroll through the pavilions of the World Showcase, and finally IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

Disney's Hollywood Studios: Rock 'n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Midway Mania!, The Great Movie Ride, Star Tours- The Adventure Continues, Star Wars Launch Bay, Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, and ending the day with Fantasmic!

Lastly, check into a subscription at my all-time favorite planning site: touringplans.com. That site can help you plan a great itinerary that will significantly reduce your wait in line. I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help.

    See ya real soon!
