Hi Im planning one day at Disneyland parks, its our first time at them, how the tickets work? is like WDW MK? Its possible to attend both parks at the same day getting into all the rides? We r going only hubby and wife

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lina. I’m excited to hear that you’re planning your first trip to the Disneyland Resort with your husband.

The Disneyland Resort is truly magical, as it is the only Disney Park that Walt Disney has stepped foot on. It is cozy and smaller than the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. You’ll find some familiarities at Disneyland Park, but there are also many distinct attractions you won’t find at Magic Kingdom. For example, Hyperspace Mountain, Matterhorn Bobsleds and Indiana Jones Adventure are a few of my favorite attractions and unique to the Disneyland Park.

You can purchase tickets on the Disneyland Resort website, and upgrade to the Park Hopper option to gain access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in one day. Since you’ll be arriving on a weekday in early October, that’s not typically a busy time. Wait times most likely won’t be very long. Since it’ll only be you and your husband, you’ll be able to enjoy many attractions and entertainment at both parks in one day. I suggest downloading the Disneyland mobile app prior to your arrival to help you plan your day. You’ll be able to look up wait times, find out FASTPASS distribution time, and check out restaurant menus as well.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Lina. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
