Hi moms! I'm planning our nov 2015 trip. Doing AKL CL 3 night for sure. TORN between YC standard vs WL CL for the first 7 nights. Have 5 off site. DS & DD will be 9&3. Visiting all parks, lots of resort time planned, getting disney dining plan. Hel

    Hi there, Laura!

I really love both Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge! I have a feeling that you might get a different answer depending on which one of us answered your question.

I'm going to have to say that if I was choosing between the two Resorts you mention, I would have to pick Disney's Yacht Club Resort. I absolutely love it there and their pool is one of my favorites. The sandy bottom is unlike any other pool on Walt Disney World property - it's so unique.

I also really love staying within walking distance to the World Showcase entrance at Epcot. It's so nice to just be able to walk to and from the Park without having to wait for transportation. The view is just gorgeous too! I love to sit out on the beach and look over at the BoardWalk in the evenings. While you can see some of the very top of Illuminations, I wouldn't plan on watching from your Resort for the best view.

This is a tough decision because Disney's Wilderness Lodge is absolutely beautiful as well. I think the best thing to do is to look at pictures online of both Resorts and decide which atmosphere you prefer for this trip. I'm confident that you'll be thrilled with either one of these gorgeous locations!

I hope this helps with your decision, Laura. Please let us know if we can assist with any other questions you have.

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
