I'm planning my next trip w husband and 3 kids. I'm interested in requesting adjoining or connecting rooms. I was wondering if the hotel would grant my husband and me access to both rooms on magic bands/room card if they don't connect from inside?

    Hey Maryam-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for your fabulous family of five’s visit to my second home at Walt Disney World Resort. On our first two trips we stayed in two adjoining rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. It was a blast! Extra space and beds for the kids made it more comfortable but it was the additional bathroom that made the trips spectacular.

MagicBands are special wearable waterproof technology which links to an encrypted server. By touching your MagicBand at certain “Mickey touch points” this amazing souvenir may allow you access to your room, pay for souvenirs and food, link PhotoPass photos and videos, grant you access into theme parks and even access your FastPass+ reservations.

Typically, MagicBands are linked to one hotel room. I spoke with a Cast Member at a resort with adjoining rooms. She said it is possible to link two encrypted room keys on one MagicBand. When you arrive at your resort please ask for further details. If you find out differently then you may always request additional RFID room key cards.

I am so glad you stopped by again Maryam.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
