Walt Disney World Halloween

Hello! I'm planning our 1st multi-generation family trip to the World this October. We have bought tickets for MNSSP and we have ADR at CP at 3:45. Will we be able to get in to our ADR without having to buy a day ticket for MK?

    Hi Erica,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You've picked one of my favorite character meals, dinner with Winnie the Pooh and Friends at Crystal Palace. I think it's perfect for a multi-generational meal. No matter how old I get, I still love getting a hug from Pooh and a high-five from Tigger while having a great meal inside Magic Kingdom.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially begins at 7 p.m., but guests with party tickets generally are admitted beginning at 4 p.m. Before that, you would need a regular admission ticket to enter Magic Kingdom.

I think you are wise to plan your meal early, before the party officially begins, so that you don't miss a single minute of the Not-So-Scary fun. If possible, I would try to move my dining reservation back to about 4:15. Restaurants give you a little leeway on reservation times, but if you can't go through the entrance until at least 4, you risk being 30 minutes or more late and that could be an issue.

My other advice would be to arrive at the front of Magic Kingdom early so that you can be among the first party-goers admitted. You will see a specially marked entrance for those with party tickets.

I hope that helps, Erica. I'm also enclosing a link to a video my fellow panelist Anne did with her family that has tips for a multi-generational Walt Disney World vacation. You may find it useful as well.

Best wishes for a magical visit,

    Wilma
