Hi I'm planning my honeymoon for Oct of this year to WDW and I am wanting to get a photo mat signed by the characters as a keepsake but I am nervous about carrying it around the parks. Can mats be dropped off to be signed like on the Disney cruise?

Hi Alicia!  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  I can't think of a better place for a honeymoon than Walt Disney World - I know you will have a magical and memory-making vacation.  Unfortunately, at Walt Disney World, there is not an option like on the Disney Cruises to drop off an item and have it signed by the characters.  This means that you will need to carry the photo mat with you through the parks.  If I were you, I would get a light-weight backpack, and then put the mat inside of a plastic file folder to protect it.  You can then remove it as needed and pack it back up when done.  Be sure to bring some colorful sharpies with you for the characters to use.

I would suggest downloading the free app for smartphones, My Disney Experience.  It's a great tool that will tell you character locations and times, as well as providing park hours, maps, attraction wait times, and you can even make dining reservations too!  I think you'll find this a valuable resource in making sure you get those autographs from the characters you are looking for, as well as for making the most of your honeymoon!

Best wishes to you and your fiance for a fabulous wedding, and I would be more than happy to help you plan any other aspects of your honeymoon at Walt Disney World.  Just ask!  Have a magical day.
