Im planning my first visit to Walt Disney World from 4/15/12-4/20/12. How is the weather at Walt Disney World in April? What types of crowds and waits am I facing at the various parks?

    Hi Oldair!
That is wonderful that you are making the trek across the United States to Walt Disney World in April.  Even though Easter is a week before, the parks will still be crowded due to Spring Break.  If you are staying on Disney property, I would take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.  To minimize your wait times, I would use Fast Passes.  This is included in your park admission and most of the popular rides have this available.  The weather is wonderful in Orlando during the month of April.  The high temperatures are usually in the mid 80's and the low's into the 60's.  I would make sure that you have your rain jackets or ponchos for the pop up showers that happen.  The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is a must for anyone visiting this time of the year.  You will see over 75 Disney character Topiaries throughout the park.  At the American Gardens Theatre, you can experience live music during the Flower Power Concerts.  I would make your dining reservations now so you can make sure that you can eat at the restaurants that you want.  The menus for lunch usually are similar to that of dinner, and the cost is less. Plus it is wonderful to have an air- conditioned place to sit during the heat of the day.  Make sure you stay to see Wishes- the Magic Kingdom firework show.  It really is quite spectacular.  I hope you have a magical vacation, Oldair.
