I'm planning our first trip to Disney Worldy. (me, husb, 9 & 6 daughters and 2 year old son and my mohter). I'm looking for the best character dining for ALL 3 of my children. My girls love the princesses but son would like other characters any suggest

    Hi Stacey,

Yes, a character dining experience or two is a "must-do" for any Walt Disney World vacation.  Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort is the classic character dining experience that everyone will enjoy.  You can't go wrong with this selection.  However, if princesses are a must, then I would recommend Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion of Epcot.  You'll find plenty of princesses there.  Your toddler son would probably love breakfast with the Disney Junior characters at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Any chance you could do Akershus and Hollywood & Vine on this upcoming trip?  Then your daughters, collectively, and your son could each have a meal tailored to their specific interests.

If you really must choose only one character dining experience, then breakfast or dinner at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort would be a good compromise.  In the morning you'll encounter Alice, the Mad Hatter, and friends.  At dinner, you will meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the hilarious evil stepsisters.  Both of these dining experiences offer access to a princess or two without feeling like the experience is targeted exclusively to little girls.

You have so many options that it is going to be a challenge to decide.  I hope the insight I have provided will help you make your choice.  Whatever your decision, be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations for your enchanting dining experience.
