I’m planning our first trip to Disney! I read below that children who require car seats do not have to ride in a car seat on the motorcoach. Is there any reason why my 1 year old would need a car seat during our stay at Disney? Thank you!

    Hi, there!

Oh my goodness, Lyndsie. I am SO excited to hear you're planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! And with a little one in tow! You are sure to have a magical visit.

My 11-month old daughter just experienced her first visit, and she had the best time! She enjoyed family-friendly attractions, her first french fry (delicious!), and lots and lots of attention from Cast Members and Disney Characters. In addition to those new experiences, she also rode a plane, a motorcoach, a boat, AND a bus for the first time! You are correct; little ones are not required to sit in a car seat while riding Disney's Magical Express. In fact, car seats are not even permitted on the motorcoaches. There is no reason why your 1-year old would need a car seat during your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, as car seats are not required for any Resort & Theme Park Transportation options. The only instance in which our baby girl needed a car seat during our recent stay was when we used the Minnie Van Service to travel from one Resort hotel to another, but Minnie Vans are equipped with two Graco convertible car seats, so that was no trouble at all! We found that our little princess was most happy sitting on a lap while riding on the bus, monorail, boat, or Disney's Magical Express.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lyndsie. Please let me know if you have any other questions! (Have I mentioned how excited I am for you?!)
