I’m planning my first trip to Disney with my 2 girls in December. They will be 8 months and 2.5 years old. We own a joovy sit to stand stroller, which is really convenient for my older one. Would it be best to rent a stroller so my oldest can nap?

Buckle in and recline, Gabrielle, you’re headed for a tuckering-out  day at Walt Disney World Resort! I have two kids who are still young, and their legs get tired often when we are in the parks!

I, like you, considered the Joovy Sit N Stand at first, but my son also needs to nap or to recline at times. Therefore, I actually rented a stroller, but not the one that is offered in the Disney Parks. There is a Disney Authorized stroller rental company called Kingdom Strollers which will deliver a stroller (several models available) to your Disney Resort Hotel bellhop stand compete with a cooler and a rain cover. For a perfect daily or length of stay price, this was our answer to a double stroller with storage and a recline option for my two kids. I also wheeled the kids up the monorail ramp (toddlers are HEAVY things) and into the transportation. The year we stayed at the Contemporary, it was such a breeze to wheel the kids back to the hotel room instead of boarding a bus or leading them down the sidewalk. It meant we had an extra seat (or two) during quick service meals on the patio, too. Parade seating? Check! We wheeled them to a convenient location that didn’t obstruct other families and caught the show. As you can see, I’m a rental fan! When we were ready to board Disney’s Magical Express for our trip home, we simply dropped the stroller off at the Bellhop Stand and continued on. The name tag attached to our stroller served as a check-in. We were instantly on our way!

If we can help you plan any other aspects of your vacation, please let me know. I’ll be wheeling around Magic Kingdom, attaching a balloon to my stroller handle so I can easily find it! ~ Lindsey P.
