    Ashlie from MA Asked

Hello! I'm planning a Christmas Day visit with my extended family, and I have a young son with some sensory issues. Any tips for making the day more comfortable for him?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ashlie, how excited you must be about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort during our Holiday Festivities!

In efforts to afford all Guests an inclusive and more comfortable touring experience, Walt Disney World Resort offers Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities. May I direct your attention to Walt Disney World Resort’s Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder containing advice for accommodating your child the best way possible? As well, please stop by, with all in your travel party, at any Guest Relations once inside the Disney Theme Parks to discuss the option of Disney’s Disability Access Service with a Cast Member. You can use Disney’s Disability Access Service in alliance with your FastPass+ Planning for further convenience if you wish.

    Moms Tip!
I find it useful to bring along noise cancelling headphones, small sensory toys and a tablet for my son to keep him engaged and content during our visits.

We hope this information is helpful, Ashlie and we wish you a most magical Disney holiday visit!
