Hi! I’m planning to bring my kids for the first time to magic kingdom on thanksgiving day assuming it won’t be too busy lol can you correct me if I’m wrong about that?

    Hey there, Stephanie.

As you might imagine, Thanksgiving Day - and the whole week - is pretty busy throughout Walt Disney World. When it comes to actual space, the Magic Kingdom theme park is on the smaller side, so not only does it tend to feel pretty crowded on the busier days, it can sometimes fill to capacity. While the filling to capacity is not an every day occurrence, it will be super busy.

Your best bet at this point would be to purchase your tickets and see if there are FastPass+ attraction selections you can make to give yourself a leg up on at least three attractions. I also highly recommend being there as soon as the park opens in the morning. I find if you can get at least a couple of things done early, before it becomes super crowded, plus add in your FastPass+ attractions, it feels like you've gotten some stuff done.

Look for spots for the parade early if you want to be up front. I think it's a great opportunity to park the kids and then grab something to eat, like at Casey's Corner. My kids love a good hot dog, and it's a great way to make sure they sit and take a break.

I hope you have a really wonderful time!
