I'm plannig a cruise and i'm concerned about my 8 year-old daughter since we're brazilian and she doesn't speak english. In DCL ships do You have áudioguide in portuguese to kids like her? In kids club are castmembers prepared to play and talk to her

    Welcome aboard, Anna!

Great to hear that you are planning a magical cruise with your family. The Youth Clubs are full of exciting opportunities to play and become part of the story. The themed spaces are universally appealing, and I'm sure your princess will beam with delight upon seeing the different rooms in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. You'll be glad to know that the Youth Counselors onboard represent countries from all across the globe. Though continuously changing, we've actually met several cast members who speak Portuguese on board. My kids got a chance to meet one of their favorite youth counselors at the Oceaneer club a few years ago and she was from Brazil.

I've found the kids to be very friendly with each other onboard. My kids have met several children from different countries and they did not speak a word of english. Somehow, kids are able to communicate with each other... eventually. It's funny how the kids teach each other english and non-english words. It makes for some added fun and giggles -- since some english and non-english words equally sound funny to them.

I do suggest that you visit the Youth Clubs on embarkation day. You can introduce yourselves to the Youth Counselors at the Oceaneer Club and they can also confirm if a cast member is available who can communicate in your language.

I hope this information helps, Anna!

    Happy cruise planning!
