If I'm not staying at a Disney resort, is a MagicBands helpful to have? If so, is it beneficial for kids to have their own MagicBand?

    Hi Naomi,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Unfortunately, the only thing you and your kids will be able to use it for is getting in the parks, FastPass+, and Memory Maker, if you get one. You cannot add a credit card to the band for charging if you are not a Disney’s Resort guest. I would still buy one for convenience and because I found it easier and fun to use. Also if you want some ride videos and pics from rides that do not have anywhere to scan a physical card like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, it's so much easier with the band. You wouldn't have to have the pics or videos looked up found by the photopass photographer for those particular rides that auto link those by your MagicBands. Kids will love to wear one, believe me.

    Have a magical day!
