I’m new to CA and am slowly learning everything about Disneyland. Other than The Festival of the Holidays, the spring Food and Wine Festival, and the two Holiday attraction overlays, what other seasonal events or ride overlays can I look forward to?

    Greetings, Kristen!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you are already familiar with some seasonal celebrations at the Disneyland Resort like those happening right now during the holidays. Many holidays, both big and small, are celebrated all year long.

Early in the year you can take part in the unique Lunar New Year celebration happening at Disney California Adventure Park from January 25 through February 17, 2019. This multicultural festival is a family favorite of ours offering traditional Asian dishes as well as delightful entertainment, exclusive Character meetings, and Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession. From January 22 until February 18, 2019 you can also take part in Minnie's Valentine Surprise scavenger hunt in Disneyland Park as you look for hidden valentines that Minnie has left for Mickey.

In the Spring, apart from the culinary delights you will find at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, you can have some egg-stra fun during the Easter season. Families love playing the egg-themed scavenger hunt, "Egg-stravaganza" in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District.

While summer usually brings different celebrations every year, summer 2019 is extra special with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which will provide new experiences for every Guest in a galaxy far, far away.

Fall is my favorite season, because the Disneyland Resort is full of Happy Haunts for Halloween Time. You can find transformed Halloween attractions like Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, and Haunted Mansion Holiday. Plus you can even taste the season with fall-flavored treats galore.

I hope this helps you realize that every season is magical at the Disneyland Resort!
