I’m moving to Florida in a few weeks and want to take my kids to Disney right away. I will have mail but don’t want to get a Florida ID. Can I use my out of state license with proof of utility bill to get Florida residence rate?

    Hi Nikki,

First off, welcome to Florida! Between the wonderful year-round weather and close proximity to Walt Disney World, I am already jealous!

Nikki, I definitely don't blame you for wanting to take advantage of the great savings on Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets, Passes, and Offers for Florida residents as soon as possible! In order to do so, you will need to present proof of a Florida residential address. Acceptable forms of proof include either (1) a valid Florida driver's license or state-issued Florida Identification card with a Florida address, or, (2) a current bill, financial or government documentation addressed to you at a valid Florida residential address within the preceding two months, together with a corresponding photo identification, such as a passport, driver's license, or state identification card.

Therefore, if you are able to present a recent utility bill showing a Florida residential address dated within the last two months, along with a piece of photo identification (which could include your out-of-state driver's license), a Cast Member I spoke with indicated that this should be sufficient for you to take advantage of the special Walt Disney World discounts and offers for Florida residents.

Nikki, I hope this information is helpful. All the best in your new home state of sunny Florida!
