Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristin!

I am so happy that you found us! Moms and Dads here are so happy to help guests make the most of their magical stays in Walt Disney World. As a first-time traveling family, there are LOTS of tips that we can share with you as you plan your stay. Ask away!

Regarding timing your first trip, consider when you and your boys are able to visit. Holiday weeks and summers can be crowded, but if that is when your schedules allow you to stay, there are several ways to navigate the crowds. If you have a school holiday that does not coincide with a national holiday, for example, or if your boys can travel in late May/early June, you may find crowd levels to be lower than they would be at peak season.

Next? Where to stay. Check out this great post on Rooms for 5 Guests or More. Once you determine which resort stay is best for your family, you can begin to decide what you'd like in your vacation package. This may include a Disney Dining Plan if you know your boys love to eat and you'd like to have a sense of control over dining costs and options prior to arrival.

Because your family has never been to anything like Walt Disney World, I highly recommend at least one full day per theme park. Four full days, or more, will allow you all to take in the magic as you tour, without having to worry about skipping something or leaving before you are ready; instead, you can enjoy a full day of each park's offerings, from attractions to entertainment, dining to nighttime shows.

Send more questions as plan your visit, Kristin; we can advise you on dining, FastPass+ options and so much more! We love to help!
