    Shawnitha from MI Asked

I'm going to magic kingdom the second week of January and I'm not sure how to dress for the weather, can you give me any tips?

    Hi Shawnitha!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I know you must be really excited about your upcoming adventure at Walt Disney World Resort.  I hope you have the most amazing vacation ever.  It's my pleasure to help answer your question today.

Being from Michigan originally myself, I thought any weather warmed than 50 degrees in January was warm, so I always packed shorts.  Now that I have lived in the south for  over 23 years,  50 degrees is chilly for me.  I encourage you to use online weather websites to check the 10 day Orlando forecast.  I have looked for the next 10 days and the weather will vary from low sixties during the day to up eighties, so it will vary.  I encourage you to bring layers so you can add or take away from your outfit as the day goes on.   You may want a jacket in the morning but my mid day you could wear a t-shirt.  Layers in Florida are always a good thing.  I also encourage you to bring along a rain poncho, Florida weather is unpredictable and stray showers like to pop up unexpectedly.    And if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel all the pools are heated, so feel free to bring those swim suits, but have a towel close by when you get out to warm up with.

I hope this has helped.  Please enjoy your vacation and please stop in again anytime you have another vacation planning question.  Lending a helping hand to fellow Guests is what we do best.

    Dream as Dreamers Do,

    Jen
