I'm looking at purchasing fl resident silver passes for us using the pay monthly option. I want to know if I buy them next month will my year to use them be from feb to feb or will it be from September when I use them the first time?

Hi Belinda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy to help you with your question about the Florida Resident Annual Passes.

As Floridians, my family and I have purchased the Disney Silver Pass for a few years now and have always used the pay-by-month option. It’s a great value for us and being only a few hours’ drive from Orlando, we get to take advantage of it all the time!

You can purchase your AP anytime, but the magical clock does not start ticking on your pass until you activate it during your first visit.

Some important things to remember about activating your pass, when you purchase it online you will receive a pass certificate that needs to be exchanged for your valid pass. You take that pass with you to any of the four theme park ticket windows or any Guest Relations location, then you must show proof of Florida residency

That’s it! “Activation day” is complete! Now your fun-filled, Disney World Resort theme park hopping year will begin!

After activating your pass, make sure to check your My Disney Experience app for block out dates. Just log on, select your character and under Park Info & Entry, scroll over to Annual Passholders, select your pass and you can view your available dates on the calendar. It’s a great tool for planning and it’s one I use all the time.

Just one more thing, have you thought about where you will display your Passholder magnet on your car?

Belinda, if you need any tips on how you can enjoy your new Annual Passholder status, feel free to stop by again!
