Hi Moms~ I'm looking for opinions please....April trip w/DH & DD's(8&9). Either Saratoga deluxe studio or AKL standard view? Which resort will girls enjoy most(pools, etc.)? Never been to either. We love POR princess rooms...but want a change.

    Hi Lynne!

That is a tough question! It’s like asking if a Mickey Premium Bar is better than a Dole Whip Float. Both are great, but each have things that make them special.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has two feature pools. Both feature waterslides and pool parties sure to delight your girls. The resort is an excellent location for little shoppers. You can walk or take a water taxi to Downtown Disney. If your daughters are interested in visiting the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at World of Disney, or are planning on shopping for accessories at Little Miss Matched, you will love this location.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a family favorite. We book a standard view too because of its good value. There are several public areas to view the animals at the resort, so we don’t feel that we miss out by not having a savanna view. Pools with waterslides are available at both Jambo House and Kidani Village, and daily pool parties are offered here as well. My sons are of similar ages to your daughters, and my guys really enjoy the cultural and educational activities at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. From night vision animal viewing and drum circles, to a lesson in biodiversity, it seems there is always something exciting happening.

I have never felt that there is one Disney resort that is the best. All resorts offer beautiful grounds, amazing amenities, and outstanding customer service, the difficult part is choosing which will be the best fit for your family. I’m sure no matter which resort you choose, you will have a truly magical family vacation.

    Wishing you happy planning!
