I'm looking into booking a cruise for our family of 6. I'm trying to decide the best way to book, two staterooms or a suite. I am sure I can book two rooms side by side, but would it be more economical in cost to just get a suite for all 6 of us? Thanks

    Hi, Veronica!

Congratulations on considering Disney Cruise Line for your family's cruise...you will not be disappointed! We also have a big family, and sometimes it's difficult when we travel to accommodate the number of people we have and how big my teens have grown to be -- we need a lot of room!

When booking a cruise, we like to book side-by-side staterooms and connecting ones, if possible. As far as the affordability of one versus the other, it's really going to depend on several other factors including itineraries, ships and length of cruise. So instead of give you a cost break down here, I'll tell you that most of the time it will be more economical to book two staterooms. Plus, once you start looking at putting more than 5 people in a stateroom, you've moved up to concierge level -- which I don't feel is necessary for me and my family. Yet, if your children are small, the benefits of having everyone together just might outweigh the price tag. You'll have to make that comparison for yourself.

I hope I have given you a little food for thought, and remember not to worry yourself too much about one versus the other. You do what you feel is best for you and yours and then enjoy yourself! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
