    Hi Charise,

How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is a month away!  I can't think of a better place to celebrate a 13th (or any) birthday than the Happiest Place on Earth.  Be sure to pick up a free "birthday button" for your son at Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first.  You might also consider booking a special celebratory dinner to mark your son's special day.  Chef Mickey's or any character dining venue is a great choice.  Whispering Canyon Cafe and 'Ohana are more of my family's top picks for birthday celebrations. You can add a cake to your dinner when you make reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Perhaps you can let your son pick the park and/or itinerary on his birthday as well. As for how much spending money four souviners, it's entirely up to you.  During our past few trips, I've given my kids a $50 gift card each, and allowed them to buy whatever they wanted.  They were in charge of "budgeting" their money, and if they used it all on the first day, they were out of luck.  I got the idea after we experienced the "Great Piggy Bank Adventure" at Innoventions at Epcot, and they loved it!  Now they try to negotiate a larger gift card amount every trip.  Clever kids!

I hope your family has a magical time!
