Hello I'm Jessica, I will be taking my son to Disney for the first time this October for his first birthday. Do you have any advice to what I should take or what I should leave at home? Including what rides I will be able to take him on with me.

    Hi Jessica,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
What a wonderful idea to celebrate your little one's first birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth!
There are many things you can do to add extra Pixie Dust to a special celebration and numerous "all ages" rides that you'll be able to enjoy with your child. Some of those rides include:
*Mostly all attractions inside Fantasyland like The Mad Tea Party, "it's a small world", Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White's Scary Adventure, the King Arthur Carrousel, Peter Pan's Flight and the Casey Jr. Circus Train, among others. There's also Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, The Astro Orbitor, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.
In terms of which items to take– I would definitely pack a few snacks for your baby. I usually take pretzels, fruit, juice boxes and water bottles for my sons in case they get hungry or thirsty while we're waiting to get on a ride.
Bring your stroller! You can also rent a stroller once you get there but strollers generally cannot leave the Parks.
I would also pack an extra change of clothes and a sweater since temperatures tend to cool off in the evening.
If you want to blow out the candles for your little one during lunch or dinner, you can have a special Mickey cake ordered and delivered to your table service restaurant of choice. The only catch is that you must have an advance dining reservation.
    Other ideas–
*Make sure you buy him a pair of Mickey Ears with his name engraved on them. You can do get those at the Mad Hatter shop along Main Street, U.S.A. inside the Disneyland Theme Park.
*Buy your son a few classic Mickey balloons. These will make for amazing photo opportunities and kids just love them!
*Visit Mickey's House and Meet Mickey for a special birthday hug and photo from the Mouse that started it all...
    I hope this helps!
    Have a Magical Time!
