I'm Irish but living in California for college - am eligible for the California resident discount? I don't have a california ID as Im not originally from here and don't drive in US but could get proof of attendance at UC Santa Barbara

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Amy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How exciting it must be to study abroad in sunny California! I know your time in college will bring some wonderful adventures, and hopefully some of these adventures will be at the Happiest Place on Earth!

The Disneyland Resort periodically has exclusive offers for Southern California residents like the Disney Southern California Select Passport and specially-priced Park Hopper tickets. The only acceptable forms of ID to prove residency and obtain these offers are California-issued government IDs like a state ID or driver's license. Unfortunately a school ID will not be sufficient. If you plan on applying for an ID through the California Department of Motor Vehicles, you can even utilize your temporary ID as proof of residency if you want to take advantage of these offers soon.

I hope you can visit the Disneyland Resort soon to Get Your Ears On. Starting April 29, 2019 you can see the brand new experience in the Downtown Disney District celebrating Mickey Mouse: Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration. This is going to be such a hit with Guests of all ages but young adults, especially, will love the "gram"-worthy photo ops here!

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
