I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction about a DAS card, my mother has sun allergies & heat intolerance. For the outdoor queues would a DAS card be appropriate for waiting our turn without being directly exposed to the sun and heat? Thank y

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jennifer ~

The Disability Access Service Card (DAS) is designed to assist Guests who unable to wait in a regular queue for a number of medical reasons, including those are that not apparent. A DAS allows Guests to wait in another location (wherever they would like - there is no designated place to wait) or do other things until their return time.

If your Mother is unable to wait in outdoor queues due to her sun allergies and heat intolerance, she can request a DAS by going to Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. A Cast Member will ask her some questions so they can best accommodate her specific needs. They will take her photo for the DAS, go over the terms and conditions and have her sign the card.

Here are some additional details explaining how the DAS works. I've also included a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.

Here are some suggestions on staying cool at Disney World that you may find helpful. If at any time your Mother starts to not feel well, you are welcome to take her to a First Aid Location or ask the nearest Cast Member for assistance.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
