I'm going to have to pay in only a week before I plan to visit. I want to get in a value hotel with a family of 5. I really want to come. Would it be wise to plan much n advance?

    Hi, Latasha!

I am happy to hear that you want to visit Walt Disney World with your family. You are sure to create memories to last a lifetime!

Let's start with your party size. Standard Rooms in Value Resorts have a maximum capacity of 4 guests. A fifth guest is only permitted if that guest is under the age of 3 and can sleep in a pack and play. If all of your guests are age 3 and over, you will need to book 2 resort rooms, or a Value Family Suite at Disney's All Star Music which can sleep up to 6 guests.

Once you have your desired room configuration, you can book your room. If booking a "room only" reservation, a one night's deposit must be paid, with the balance due at check-in. Hopefully this will fit into your budget so you can book your reservation well in advance. Resorts often book to capacity, so you might not be able to even get a room if you wait until one week prior.

Park tickets can be purchased at any time, even "day-of" and they can be linked to your account. Once you have your tickets purchased and linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can book your FastPass+ selections (up to 60 days in advance).

I hope you are able to book the perfect family vacation! If you have any other questions as you get closer to your get-away, let us know! All of us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are here to help!

    Have a magical vacation,
    Cathy
