Mom And Son On Run

I'm getting married in July and we'll be honeymooning in Disney World. I love Disney and have been there many times, but it will be my new husband's first trip. Any ideas to make it extra magical for him? I want him to really get the magic and wonder.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon!

Many moons ago, my husband and I also honeymooned at Walt Disney World. As you know, there's magic around every corner if you take your time to enjoy all of the "small" details.

I would suggest showing your new hubby that Disney is so much more than a theme park. There are fantastic resorts, restaurants, golf courses, water parks and more. Take a day away from the parks to go horseback riding, lounge at a water park and/or soar above the Seven Seas Lagoon while parasailing. WDW is the perfect place to use your imagination to design an itinerary that you'll always remember.

Enjoy being honeymooners. Get Mickey bridal and groom ears. Wear "Just Married" pins. Tell every restaurant of your special occasion. Take an evening to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian. Walk to the Grand Floridian down the romantic path sipping drinks from a coconut. Venture to the GF for a champagne toast, then take the monorail to the Contemporary. Have dinner and/or drinks at the California Grill. Or act like kids and go to Chef Mickey's! Splurge on a tour or fireworks cruise.

Spend time in the parks to look at the details rather than trying to see and do everything. Roam Tom Sawyer's Island. Share a sundae while staring at Cinderella's Castle. Soar with Dumbo or ride Big Thunder Mountain during the fireworks.

There are so many magical moments just waiting for both of you!
