    Andrea from FL Asked

I’m a Florida resident, how does it work to purchase 3 weekday only annual passes and the whole process in getting them. But won’t be used till fall of 2019.

Hi Andrea and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to know that you’re considering a Walt Disney World Annual Pass. As a Florida Resident myself, I know my friends and family really get a lot out of their passes, all year long!

Here’s how it works. Visit the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder site and select the kind of annual pass that works best for your family. One of my best friends has been a weekday pass holder for many years and she always says that it’s one of the best decisions she has made when it comes to her family vacations.

As Florida Residents, we have a bit more flexibility when it comes to paying for passes because we can choose monthly payments. If you go that route, you will be asked to give a down payment for your pass that would be charged to a major credit card. You can then designate that credit card as the one that will be charged the monthly amount.

Andrea, if you’re not going to use your pass until Fall 2019, your pass would not be activated until your first visit. For example, if you were to visit on November 5, 2018, your pass would not expire until November 5, 2019. Also, you are required to show Proof of Florida Residency on your first visit to be able to use your passes. After that you’re all set!

There are lots of Benefits to being an Annual Passholder! My sister just visited this weekend and brought home two adorable Epcot International Food & Wine Festival themed cutting boards. There are lots of events that are exclusive to Passholders. In addition to discounts on restaurants and merchandise all over the Walt Disney World Resort. Are you sure you can wait until next Fall to visit?

I hope this information is helpful to you as you look into your annual pass options. Feel free to stop by again with any other questions!
