    Hannah from West Midlands Asked

Hi, I’m going to D.W for the 1st time in September with my mom. What ID do we need if we want alcohol when getting food. I’ve got a British driving licence, mom doesn’t can she use her passport (picture on phone or photocopy). Can we use these as ID. Thanks

    Hi Hannah!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am excited to see you are visiting Walt Disney World for the first time in September, with your mum.  The countdown is on!  You are probably aware that the laws for alcohol consumption are very strict in the USA. If you are under 21 you will not be permitted to buy alcohol.   Whatever your age, if you look under 21 you will not be able to buy alcohol unless you provide some identification to prove your age.  You can use your UK Driving Licence or your Passport - I would use the actual Passport, rather than a photocopy or a photo on your phone.

If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, a drink is now included (non-alcoholic, or alcoholic for Guests aged 21 and over) with each Table-Service meal or Quick-Service meal, so please ensure you carry your ID with you.

It is very exciting planning a first visit to Walt Disney World, and it can be overwhelming, so if you have any further questions please come back and ask us.  We will be very happy to help you plan your magical first trip to Walt Disney World.
