Mom With Kids After Run

I'm debating what to do about stroller(s) for our trip with my 1 and 3 year old. We have a double BOB so I was thinking about renting one, but I'm concerned it'll be unwieldy on the buses. Two other options are bringing 1 or 2 small single strollers.

    Hi Meredith!

I am so happy to be able to help you with another question as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My sons are 4 years old and 20 months old and so I know first-hand how the right stroller can make a big difference in helping your day at the parks go smoothly. We always use our double BOB jogging stroller for our trips. It can be a challenge maneuvering it onto the complimentary resort transportation busses. When you board the bus, you will need to unload your kids from the stroller, fold the stroller and then carry it on. In our family, it works best if I am in charge of getting the kids on the bus and my husband takes the stroller. We like to use resort package delivery for souvenEARs to minimize what we have to carry back to the hotel with us. In our experience, both bus drivers and other Guests have generally been patient and helpful as we get our kiddos and gear back to our hotel.

Overall, we have found the benefits of using our double stroller far outweigh transportation difficulties. With our boys, if we use two strollers for a trip, we often have discussions with our littles about who is pushing which stroller, who is riding in which stroller and who is going faster. By having them in once stroller, this eliminates all of those headaches. Plus, we are able to maneuver through the parks with one person pushing the stroller, while the other person can use the rider swap system to enjoy a roller coaster or run snack for the family without taking the stroller in lines. I have found that maneuvering two single strollers by myself can be very difficult! Finally, even though jogging strollers can be big and heavy, you will accumulate a lot of miles during your day, so a stroller that pushes and turns easily makes a huge difference!

Let me know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
