I'm debating between the Little Mermaid Standard Room @ Arts of Animation & Preferred Room @ Pop Century. Price is pretty much the same when we're going. Do you think one is better than the other? Which would you recommend and why? Thanks for help!!

    Hi Erica,

I've stayed at both the Pop Century and Art of Animation resorts several times.

Given the choice of a Little Mermaid room at AoA or a preferred room at Pop, I'd choose Pop. My decision is almost totally based on location. The Mermaid rooms fresh and new, which is great, but other than the themeing, they are not substantially different from any other value resort room at WDW. And they are fairly far removed from the food court, bus stop, and main pool at AoA.

On the other hand, the Pop preferred rooms are close to all the main services. You won't have far to go when you're tired getting off the bus after a long day of park touring.

Another thing to consider ... if you're staying at Pop, it's quite easy to walk over to AoA to look around and grab a meal. The Art of Animation resort is by far my favorite value or moderate food court at WDW, and you can walk to it from both the Pop and AoA rooms.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
