    Darnell from AK Asked

So im a Dad wondering what attraction will be open for the month of September. My 4 year is very excited about Frozen and a few othet attractions. Please help.

Hello, Darnell! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love it when dads are in on the planning process and I am so excited you are planning ahead!

As of right now, there are no announced attraction refurbishments at the Disneyland Resort that extend into September. However, attraction and entertainment schedules are usually solidified only about 45 days in advance. So, if you take a look at the Attractions page next month and change the date in the upper right corner, you can get an idea of which attractions and entertainment will be available during your travel dates. The showtimes for Frozen - Live at the Hyperion are released a little later, so look for those about three weeks before your arrival date. Your little Frozen fan might also want to meet Anna and Elsa and maybe even Kristoff and Olaf in Disney California Adventure Park. Check the official Disneyland app when you arrive to see exact times when these characters are meeting Guests.

One important step of the planning process, especially with a preschooler, is to measure your child before you visit. If your child meets or exceeds 40" tall, then a lot of thrill attractions become available to them if they are interested. My 4-year-old absolutely loves Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Radiator Springs Racers, all of which have 40" height requirements. If your child isn't quite tall enough, worry not! There are oodles of attractions at both parks that have no height restrictions and those with shorter requirements like 32" and 35".

I would love to continue to help you plan your trip, so please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
