Hi there! I'm currently looking into joining D23, but live in upstate NY. I know the event perks won't work for me, but we are planning a trip to Disney World later this year... and am interested in the magazine. Would D23 be worth it for me?

    Hi Kristina,

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Back in 2009 I heard word of this new and exciting Official Disney Fan Club called D23, and I knew without hesitation that I wanted to be a part of it all right away. I’m proud to say I’m a Day One Charter Member, my Jiminy Cricket Day One D23 Charter Member pin is on a frame, and I have renewed as a Gold Member every year since.

I have enjoyed attending the D23 Expo extravaganzas and the D23 Destination D events. I haven’t had the full opportunity to participate in the complete line-up of scheduled events each year, though I really want to plan for the special D23 Destination D event celebrating our favorite Mouse later this year in Orlando.

For me, the Disney Twenty-Three quarterly publication is a simply beautiful work of art with each issue. The Gold Member Gifts are, to me, carefully, thoughtfully, and lovingly curated collections of rare Disney magic.

D23 does offer discounts on food and dining at select locations in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort.

In addition to the events and publication and perks, the D23 website offers interesting and exclusive content perfectly suited for Disney enthusiasts.

For me, personally, I just love feeling like I’m a part of the Official Disney Fan Club!
