Greetings, Jerika! Rider Switch is one of my favorite programs to use! We are a family of 4, but with a little baby, rides like Aerosmith’s Rockin’ Rollercoaster are out of the question for all of us! I’ll give you all the musical details on Disney’s Rider Switch.
As your family of 3 approaches
Under the Sea, you’ll be happy to hear from Cast Members that the clamshells seat 3, so all of you can ride this slow-moving, toe-tapping attraction. When you approach a ride like Goofy’s Barnstormer, which seats 2, you’ll have to create a pair of riders (you and your daughter) while Dad rides right behind you. I’ve never been separated by more than the seat behind my family on a ride! Please know your daughter will need to be over the age of 8 in order to ride by herself.
If Dad wants to ride Tower of Terror, but your daughter doesn’t like thrill rides, this is where Rider Switch comes in handy. Bring your entire family up to the queue and see a Cast Member. Ask for Rider Switch, and you’ll be given either a tag or pass. Dad can use his FastPass+ or the stand-by queue to enjoy the attraction. As he exits, hand your daughter off so they can pin trade while you experience the Twilight Zone. That way, your non-rider is never alone!
The initial chaperone, when they return to the line with the aforementioned tag/paper pass, can bring with them one member of the group so they don’t have to ride solo while the rest of your party waits. You can see more
