i'm coming to wdw for the Thanksgiving Holiday how should I dress my daughter for the weather. Will there be any Christmas Decor up at the resorts and in the parks

    Hi Dayong,

Are you excited yet? My family is spending Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World, too, and we can't wait.

Weather is always a little tricky to predict, but I can tell you that we almost always are still running the air-conditioning at our house on Thanksgiving Day. My best guess -- based on historical averages and 30 years as a resident of Central Florida -- is that you will want to have jeans or capris with t-shirts for the day and a light jacket or sweatshirt for evening.

The highs that time of year are usually in the mid to upper 70s and lows are in the mid- to upper 50s. I always like to remind guests to bring sunscreen, too. Even though it;s late fall, the sun here can still be intense, and you don't want to spoil your fun with a sunburn.

And good news about the decorations: You should find Christmas in full bloom throughout the Walt Disney World parks and resorts by the time your arrive. The decorations start appearing magically as soon as Halloween is passed and spread quickly.

I love the holiday season at Disney and enjoy spending time resort-hopping to see what kind of themed twist each resorts puts on its decor. Be sure you check out the giant gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian!

Here's wishing you a wonderful holiday visit with your family. Please let me know if I can do anything to help as your trip approaches. We will be there before you know it!
