Hi moms! I'm coming over in august with my family (so excited!). However my mum has IBS however, and is worrying about queueing for long periods of time. I am just wondering if Disney have any accommodations for this type of issue? Many thanks!

    Hi Lizzie ~

You're a sweet daughter for thinking of your Mum! IBS can be quite challenging and uncomfortable to deal with in certain situations. If she thinks she will be unable to wait in a standard queue, she can go to Guest Relations at the first theme park you visit to request a Disabilities Service Access Card (DAS). They'll ask her some questions so they can best accommodate her specific needs. They will take her photo for the card so she should be prepared for it to take a few minutes. Cast Members (CMs) will go over all of the terms and conditions of the DAS with her and have her sign the card.

Once she obtains a DAS, she can go to an attraction and see a CM at the entrance to get a return time to enter the FASTPASS (FP) or other alternate entrance if necessary. The CM will fill in the information on the DAS indicating her return time. They determine the return time by looking at the current wait time and subtracting 10 minutes. Your Mom will not need to be present to get a return time for attractions but she must be present when entering the queue and boarding the attraction. Once she reaches the return time on the DAS, she can go to the attraction anytime afterwards - there is no pressure to make it back within a certain time frame.

Guests can only obtain a return time for one attraction at a time but can get another DAS return time as soon as they've finish one. If available, FP and FastPass+ can be used in addition to the DAS. We use the wait time to take a break in a quiet corner in the park or see a show.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.

I'm limited in space but please feel free to visit again with any other questions. Its my pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
