    Tracy from KY Asked

I'm bringing my 5 yr old grandson the first week of October for his first trip. I have booked 2 Character meals and the Halloween Party. I am in the process of booking our fastpass selections. Can you suggest what we "must do" please?

    Hey, Tracy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wahoo!, you and your grand-prince are going to have an enchanted first visit with your current lineup of Character Meals and the best party ever, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Here is a couple of links to that should help you keep your grandson entertained and excited during your trip. Disney's Planning for Pre-School & Little Ones Guide is a fantastic resource. Also, my own experience with both my kids at 5 years old was amazing. Here are my suggestions.

Disney Dad Tip 1: Make sure to stop by Guest Relations to pick up a "My First Visit" button for him to wear.

Disney Dad Tip 2: Watch out for the Headless Horseman and Hitchhiking Ghosts (Phineas, Ezra, and Gus) during Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. The best place to view the parade is along the wooden walkway in Frontierland or just in front of the Hall of Presidents attraction.

Disney Dad Tip 3: Bring a backpack for candy. During the night, you will be able to treat-or-treat along the candy trails. You will be provided with a small bag and Cast Members will put the candy in the small bag. You may then transfer the candy into the backpack. We gathered 10 pounds of candy and only visited half the candy trails!

Tracy, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
