Hi! I'm brand new to runDisney and have so many questions. Where is the best place to start and to ask questions? I want to register for the Star Wars Run in Disneyland (10k and kids run). Will the 2 interfere with each other? This will be a 1st for us.

    Hi, Larissa!

Welcome to the wonderful world of runDisney! You've come to the right place for all your questions. As the dedicated runDisney Specialist on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, I am here to help you navigate your way around the course of planning your race-cation.

The first step is securing a spot in the race when registration for the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend opens to the public on June 16th, at 9:00am PST. The 10K will sell out first, so start with that registration form and then move on to registering for the Kids' Races. The 10K will be held at 5:30am and the Kids' Races usually begin at 10:00am - they will definitely not interfere with each other. To register, you will visit the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend event page on the runDisney website and select the REGISTRATION tab. I cannot emphasis enough how important it will be to register as soon as it opens. This race will sellout faster than a StarSpeeder can transport you to Disneyland® Resort.

Once registration is complete, you will need to book your accommodations. Be sure to check out the Travel Tab on the runDisney website for travel packages that may be available.

You may also be wondering about training for the race. We've got you covered! There are complementary Training Plans available from the official runDisney Training Consultant, Jeff Galloway. His run/walk method has revolutionized the running world.

You will probably have a lot more question, but I hope this helps get you started, Larissa! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have. I am here to help!
