I'm booked with my family for June 2019 at All Star Music and was wondering about number of plugs/sockets or USB points in rooms for charging phones and tablets

Hello Lynn, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I can see that you are already planning an amazing trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for next summer. Now is the best time to plan all the little details of your trip, before you tackle your advanced dining reservations and FastPass+ selections. I know how important it is to have your devices on hand during your trip. We need our smartphones to connect to My Disney Experience to keep up with our itineraries, mobile ordering and show off Disney’s PhotoPass Photos on social media.

I had to do a little research on this and spoke to a Cast Member at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort today. Unfortunately, this resort has not been scheduled for refurbishment. So there are a limited number of outlets that are typically available at a value resort. The Cast Member I spoke to stated that he was not sure when the refurbishment will take place, but when it does. You will find updated outlets very similar to what I saw during a recent stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. There were 2 USB charging points paired up with 2 regular outlets. I found at least 4 or 5 sets of this combination of outlet and USB charging point throughout my room. Plenty of places to charge a smartphone, tablet, GoPro, laptop, portable chargers, and even fitness trackers.

I would recommend taking your own portable USB charging hubs. You can probably find them at any electronics store. Something similar to a surge protector that you would use for your home electronic items, but it would have several USB ports available for your smartphones and tablet devices. I hope that helps to answer your question. If you need any more help before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
