I'm attending Mickey's Backyard BBQ taking a boat from MK on a MVMCP date. The BBQ should end around 8 but will I be able to get back to MK (and my car!) without a ticket to the Christmas party?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!

You will have so much fun at Mickey's Backyard BBQ, which is a favorite for generations of Walt Disney World fans!

Regarding transportation back to your car, not to worry. Even though Magic Kingdom is not open to general ticketed guests on a night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, guests with party tickets will still rely on WDW transportation to get to and from Magic Kingdom Park and their resort hotels or cars at Transportation/ Ticketing Center TTC). As such, you'll be able to get back to Magic Kingdom in order to get to your car, no ticket needed. All transportation methods are outside of each park's entrance, so hopping from one location to the next is possible, even if you do not have a park ticket to this special event.

According to the Mickey's Backyard BBQ link provided above, "Guests taking the ferry from Magic Kingdom Park [should] allow up to one hour and 30 minutes travel time." The same will be the case on your return trip, Jessica.

Have so much fun at this iconic Walt Disney World Resort dinnertime extravaganza!
