I’m already planning our Disney trip for this year and I saw at the website Ariel’s Grotto doesn’t exist any more !! What happened?? Is permanentely or just for refurbishment ??? There ‘ll be another option for have a breakfast with the Disney Princess ???

Greetings, Rebeca! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question. I’m so glad that you are researching dining options for your upcoming trip!
As you may be aware, the Paradise Pier portion of Disney California Adventure Park is undergoing an incredible transformation and will reopen as Pixar Pier on June 23, 2018. As part of this transition, some attractions, the Cove Bar, and Ariel’s Grotto will be reimagined. When Pixar Pier opens this summer, the new Lamplight Lounge will take the place of both restaurants and feature gastro-pub cuisine and unique cocktails. We don’t yet know if there will be another meal with princesses introduced in the future, so keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates as your travel dates approach.
If you are looking to dine with some of your favorite pals, I do have a few recommendations! The Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn is my absolute favorite character meal. The expansive buffet has just about every breakfast food item you could imagine, but it’s the character interaction that keeps me coming back. On one visit, I counted over 10 characters that stopped by our table! Another popular option is the Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey and Friends at Disney’s PCH Grill. You will meet Mickey and a few of his friends, including Stitch, during this meal. Stitch also hosts a little dance party which is really fun for kids.
I hope this information was helpful! Have a magical day!
