I'll be traveling solo, one weekend in April, to honor what would have been my Mom's 88th birthday. What fun things could I do to celebrate her life? Also, when will the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival workshops be announced?

Hey, Rochelle. What a wonderful way to celebrate your mom. My family did the same thing recently. It brought back many happy memories, not only of my mom and trips to Walt Disney World, but of each of us spending special time with her.

Think of some things your mom may have enjoyed doing. Did she love animals? Backstage Tales at Disney's Animal Kingdom might be a fun way to feel connected with Mom. It takes you through the backstage areas where the animals are housed and through the veterinary facilities. It's a great peek at how much love and care goes into the animals.

Keys to the Kingdom is a five-hour tour of the Magic Kingdom that takes you into the trenches - literally. You'll learn so much about the Magic Kingdom, but the highlight of the tour is the underground "city" that exists underneath the magic. If your mom loved the classic attractions or would have been excited by the little known facts, this is a fun way to honor her.

Enjoy a special meal, get FastPass+ times for her favorite attractions, or you could even bring stickers to give to other guests as you stand in line. Being able to put a smile on someone else's face might put one on yours as well.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will take place from February 28th through May 28th this year. The workshops have not yet been announced, but you should expect to see information in the next couple of weeks about the special events that take place during the festival.

Enjoy your trip, think happy thoughts about your mom, and fill your heart with happy memories!
