I'll be taking my 6 and 2 year-old girls by myself most of the time for 4 days (Oct 29 to Nov 1). It's a bit scary. Will anyone please give some advice on how to plan and where to go? I've decided to go easy.

    Hi Minhui!

You're going to have a wonderful time with your girls. I like that you've planned to take things easy.  I think that will make for a more enjoyable trip for all three of you.

If your daughters are early risers, I heartily encourage you to arrive at the parks each day at opening time.  You will be able to see more attractions with minimal lines if you arrive early.  If you plan to stay at a Disney resort, take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours.  For instance, the Magic Kingdom is opening early on November 1st for Disney resort guests.  Plan to arrive at 7:45 am that day to take advantage of an extra hour of Magic Kingdom fun that day.  Similarly, Epcot opens early on October 30th and Disney's Animal Kingdom opens early on October 29th.

If either of your daughters take naps regularly, build that into your Disney touring plan.  Everyone will have more fun if they are properly rested.

Try to schedule at least one character dining experience during your stay.  Call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations.  (Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, and the Crystal Palace are excellent choices for young kids). That's a great way to meet with a variety of Disney characters without having to stand in line.

It's a fabulous idea to bring a favorite toy or snack to enjoy as you wait in line for attractions.  That will help your daughters pass the time.  And do bring a stroller to avoid excessive fatigue.  If your older daughter is willing to ride in a stroller as well, a double stroller may be the way to go.  My five-year-old son loved having a stroller at his disposal on his first trip to Walt Disney World.

Let us know how else we can advise you.  You may submit as many questions as you like so don't hesitate to tell us what you'd like to know about planning your upcoming trip.  We'd love to help!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
