HI, I'll be coming from Australia and hoping to be at WDW from 1/12/13 for 8/10 days. I am just wondering what to expect in terms of queues and weather. Is there anything that should not be missed as this will probably be our only trip ever to WDW. Thanks

    G'day, Rebecca!!
So glad you are coming to experience the Magic of Walt Disney World! Weather in January is typically quite nice with warm temperatures in the high 60s or 70s during the day, and cool, comfortable nights.
As for what is NOT to be missed on this trip...that is so difficult since we are only allowed so many "characters" when typing a response, and there is THAT much to not be missed.
I would absolutely plan to hit all four theme parks and then revisit your favorites throughout your vacation. You may choose to hit all four again, or maybe only visit the two you liked best. It will be very subjective.
I would also plan to do a character meal where you dine with favorite Disney characters. My two favorites are Cinderella's Royal Table inside the castle at Magic Kingdom and Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. You may also want to check out the Be Our Guest restaurant in the New Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom and dine with the Beast!!
I would also be sure to schedule some Signature Dining meals at places like California Grill atop the Contemporary Resort, Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavillion at EPCOT and the Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Another "must-do" in my opinion is the Gospel Sunday Brunch over at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. And many people swear by Cirque du Soleil's "La Nouba", also in Downtown Disney.
And don't forget a day at the water parks...my preference is Blizzard Beach, where you can head down Summit Plummet!!!
I am barely scratching the surface here, but I think you are starting to get the idea...there is tons of magical, memorable stuff to do, and it probably couldn't all be done in 100 trips, let alone one. So, suffice it to say that everything you do will be magical, so focus on what YOU want to do.
I hope this gives you a start, and please come back if I can help further.
    I wish you a Magical trip!! :)
