Ii read on the panel that the Christmas parade taping 2011 will be taking place on DEC 3. We will be in the park that day ,is it necessary to have tickets to see the parade? The park is open until 1 am that day and they are not magic hours.

    Hi Latoya!

Yes, the 2011 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping will be held in the Magic Kingdom on December 2nd & 3rd, 2011 with December 4th held as an additional date should it be needed.  I have been in the Magic Kingdom in the last two years during the Christmas Day parade taping and it was quite busy on Main Street USA and near Cinderella Castle.  You don't particularly need a ticket to see some of the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping , but if you really want to be part of the action up close, then you would need a ticket.  Keep in mind that the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping is a lot of waiting, a lot of starts and stops, and retakes so it will not be like a normal parade that just runs down the street once.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical!
